Optimising unit operation
The DualFlow control system continuously measures the number of solids separated. It does this in order to indicate the optimal time to initiate the flushing process. Our systems are bringing the sector along the digitalisation journey. This is because manual desanders require permanent crew onsite to assess produced solids levels and make decisions on the optimal time for flushing.

Reducing environmental exposure
Our proprietary technology ensures that pressure vessels are isolated and bled-off before flushing out solids using service water in a closed loop system. Our method avoids the traditional technique associated with manual desanders of using reservoir fluid as part of the purging process, which exposes the environment to hydrocarbons.

Our latest technology separates oil from solids – leaving clean sand, which can be disposed of more easily and then returned to the seabed. This avoids contaminated solids being discharged into the sea via jetting. As the clean sand is no longer classified as a ‘hazardous waste’, it can be transported as normal freight and disposed of by conventional means onshore. It also eliminates the risks of hazardous sea freight transportation.

Safer and cleaner
Operated remotely, we remove the need for manual handling, as well as reducing POB. As a result, less people are transported offshore which further reduces operational risk. We’re working closely with government and industry partners for a tightening of regulation around dumping oil-contaminated sand. Our technology means there is no need for any oil-contaminated solids to be released into the marine environment. Extending the life of the filter system and therefore reducing the need for cartridge replacement.
