Unmanaged solids generated through intervention enter the separators and subsequently travel down through the production facility. An accumulation in the production facility can result in solids handling limitations topside, lower efficiency, and cause erosion. Making a shutdown inevitable. Adopting a separation system as part of the Coiled Tubing Clean-Out (CTCO) process insures against this risk.

Without accurate solids data topside, CT operates on assumptions, which risks solids (often several tons) remaining in the wellbore creating difficulties for ongoing operations. Recording accurate solids data, our separation systems enable interpretation of actual data, alongside the estimated solids calculations, creating the insight needed to boost the efficiency and quality of CT operations.

Designed to optimise CT

Ease of integration onto a crowded deck alongside a CT stack was essential in our design. Our DualFlow unit, with its 2×2 metre footprint, is the smallest dual cyclonic desander on the market. The stackable choke preserves the compact footprint of the system as well as integrates into the Dualflow. This creates a flexible, compact system, which can be operated by one operator.

Clear ESGQ value

As an automated system, no additional personnel are needed offshore, and risks associated with manual handling are removed. The efficiencies gained during CTCO result in reduced separator jetting operations, which can boost ESG metrics.

Longer term thinking

Repeated CT is not a long-term solution to remove solids build up in the well. It delivers one off removal but does not mitigate against subsequent build up. Another clean out will be inevitable. To prevent this, a proactive long-term solids management solution can be put in place.

Continuous production

Restart wells without intervention

If contact with the reservoir can be achieved, our separation systems can kick start a producing well without the need for CT. This delivers intervention free clean-up of underperforming or shut-in wells and provides benefits including reduced OPEX and POB and the removal of heavy lifting activities.
