FourPhase, the solids and production performance specialist for the oil and gas sector, has announced the promotion of Steve Greenland to the newly created role of Chief Commercial Officer. The appointment follows a successful 2021, which saw the company rapidly expand into new markets including the Gulf of Mexico and Asia Pacific.
As Chief Commercial Officer, Steve will be responsible for driving forward FourPhase’s commercial strategy. A key area of this will be to promote the use of the DualFlow as a solids management solution during ongoing production. With an established track record in both intervention and production, the company can demonstrate that applying a strong proactive solids management strategy during production prevents solids build up. This removes the need for expensive and carbon intensive intervention operations. Used continuously, the DualFlow maintains optimal flow rates which can provide an estimated value add of around 215 mNOK per year, per well.
Steve has been promoted from the role of Product Manager, where he led new product development initiatives and supported business development. With a background in industrial automation and over 25 years of experience, Steve has vast technical experience in many areas of the upstream industry, including platform commissioning, brownfield modifications and asset integrity management. Prior to joining FourPhase, he worked in global roles at Roxar, Honeywell, and Baker Hughes.
Steve Kent, Chairman of FourPhase, comments: “Growth and expansion are two words that are top of our agenda for 2022. To support these ambitions, we are pleased to announce Steve as our new Chief Commercial Officer. As we become an increasingly global company, with operations in the North Sea, APAC and The Gulf of Mexico, it is important that these new markets are directed by someone with strong international experience.”
Steve Greenland added: “I am pleased to work for a company that is committed to addressing the dominating issues that impact energy companies, such as digital transformation and the decarbonisation of oil and gas.
“By pushing boundaries with our technology, we are working with customers to unlock value from their digital transformation journey much quicker through a data driven approach to solids management. With respect to data on aging wells, we can show it is possible to extend the anticipated lifetime of wells that were shut-in due to solids production through the power of data and analysis.
“In conjunction with this, we take our role in the sector very seriously. Where solids are concerned, we are committed to helping energy companies navigate this important juncture carefully and produce oil with the lowest carbon footprint".
