Holiday newsletter and season's greetings from our CEO
There’s no doubt that 2020 is a year we won’t forget. It’s easy to talk about the challenges of this year, there have of course been many, but I’d rather talk about how we turn challenges into opportunities. As innovators, it is what we do, this coupled with my general positive outlook, means that this is how I choose to reflect on 2020. The year we turned challenges into opportunities.
At FourPhase restricted travel and reduced POB have proven why our commitment to digitalisation over the past few years has been worth it. Capable of operating with reduced personnel, or remotely if the rigs infrastructure allows, our digital solids management capabilities have demonstrated their real value. With the recent installation and commissioning of the worlds first automated desander in the South China Sea, our clients are now experiencing increased production with fewer POB.
With a digital focus extending across all aspects of the business, we have been well equipped to connect with customers remotely. For example, we have been delivering virtual FATs since 2018, and our 3D simulation software enables us to plan installations, down to detail like pipework. As such, we have been able to deliver confidence onshore and operational efficiency, offshore.
We continue to support net-zero targets, and together with our owners, we are evolving our processes and reporting to ensure we can deliver carbon-reducing solutions to the industry. To succeed as an industry, we must commit to reducing emissions where possible and ensure a sustainable future.
So as the festive season approaches, I would like to thank you all for your continued cooperation. In this year of challenges, there’s no doubt that we’ve pulled together to create some fantastic opportunities and achievements.
Season’s greetings and warmest wishes for a happy new year.
Yours sincerely,
Øyvind Heradstveit
