FOURPHASE AND ASIAN OPERATOR SIGN MOU TO ADVANCE SAND MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS
BERGEN NORWAY, 28 May 2025 – FourPhase AS, a leading provider of sand management solutions and an Asian Operator, has signed a termsheet to advance solutions for sand management in the energy industry.
Sand management is a critical component of oil and gas production, as poor handling of sand accumulation and waste disposal can reduce flow efficiency, damage equipment, disrupt operations, and pose environmental risks—particularly to marine ecosystems.
Seven years after FourPhase’s first delivery to the South China sea, FourPhase is now strengthening its regional presence through a newly signed termsheet. This milestone not only solidifies joint efforts to deploy FourPhase's advanced sand management solutions within operations in the South China Sea but also includes the commercialization of the Operators in-house sand management technology.
Under the new agreement, both companies will work together to license technologies for use beyond the South China Sea, enabling deployment of said technology to oil and gas operators globally. This move represents a strategic step toward elevating the Operators innovations internationally.
By combining their technical expertise and operational experience, FourPhase and the Operator aim to tackle critical challenges in sand management - enhancing treatment efficiency, real-time monitoring, and environmental sustainability.
Together, the companies will pursue innovative sand solutions designed to boost oil production, minimize erosion, enhance process safety, reduce downtime, and deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy solutions for the global energy sector.
The signing marks another significant milestone in the Operators ongoing efforts to enhance its technology portfolio while expanding the reach of the companys’ solutions through strategic commercialisation.
